Vivo had already announced that the Vivo Y35 4G smartphone will be launched in Malaysia on August 11. However, it is heard that the company may also be planning to bring another smartphone under the Y-series along with the discussed handset. This handset is the Vivo Y16, which is under the budget segment and will come with support for 4G connectivity. Although the company is yet to announce the official launch date of this upcoming smartphone.
However, in one of their latest reports Appuals has revealed design renders of the Vivo Y16 and a list of possible specifications. According to reports, the phone in question will feature a dual camera setup on the back panel. And it will come with curved edge and flat frame design. Besides, let's know what else has come forward about Vivo Y16.
Vivo Y16 Design Renders and expected Specifications leaked
The Vivo Y16 has already been approved by the FCC and the 'Bureau of Indian Standards' or BIS certification site, indicating an imminent launch. And it is known that the phone in question will come in two attractive color variants, Black and Gold. The report also mentioned that it will come with a slightly curved edge and flat frame design. Besides, the rear panel of the device will have a dual camera setup with LED flash light. The camera module will feature two large cutouts, housing a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. These rear sensors will support multiple notable camera features including Live Photo, Time Lapse, Face Beauty, Pro Mode.
The upcoming handset will feature a 6.51-inch HD Plus IPS LCD display panel on the front, which will support 720x1600 pixels resolution and standard 60Hz refresh rate. A small water-drop notch can be seen at the top of the screen, which may house a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
For power backup, the Vivo Y16 will come equipped with a 5,000mAh capacity battery, which will support 10W charging via the USB Type-C port. Again for security it will get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Also, for connectivity it may include – a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual-SIM slot. Vivo Y16 will likely measure 163.95x75.55x8.19 mm and weigh 183 grams.
Talking about the internal specifications, this Vivo Y16 smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Helio G35 processor. It will be powered by Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12 (Funtouch OS 12) custom user interface. Besides, this phone may be launched with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB onboard storage. However, its storage capacity can be expanded via microSD card. However, the handset is said to feature features like – Extended RAM 2.0, Multi Turbo 2.2 and Ultra Game Mode.
