Speculations have been rife for the past few months that the popular smartphone maker Xiaomi is working on its next generation Xiaomi 13 flagship series. Recent reports have revealed that the upcoming lineup will include two smartphones – Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. Among them, the topic of the “Pro” model has already come up in multiple reports. However, lately various information about the standard model has also started leaking online. Recently, a live image of the Xiaomi 13 surfaced online, showcasing its design and overall look. And now this upcoming device has been spotted on China's 3C (CCC) certification site, hinting at its imminent launch. Let's take a look at the details.
Xiaomi 13 got approval from China's 3C authority
According to a new report by MySmartPrice, the regular Xiaomi 13 model with model number 2211133C has been listed on the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) site. According to the listing, the smartphone will support 67W fast charging. Let us know that a few days ago, the Pro model of the Xiaomi 13 series also received the approval of the 3C certification site.
Incidentally, a live image of the standard Xiaomi 13 was recently leaked online. This image reveals that Xiaomi's new flagship device is heavily inspired by the design of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The smartphone will come with a triple rear camera setup with LED flash. The image also showcases the Xiaomi 13's laser autofocus feature.
Also, previous reports have suggested that the Xiaomi 13 will sport a 6.38-inch display, which will offer Full-HD+ resolution. For photography, it will likely use a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor. Significantly, before the release of the 3C listing, a report revealed that the Xiaomi 13 phone will support 67W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 13 Pro may feature a 6.73-inch Quad-HD+ panel, which will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The device may be powered by an unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset. In terms of power backup, the Pro model is expected to offer a 5,000 battery, which can support 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Note that the Xiaomi 13 series is expected to make its debut in the home market of China in November. Qualcomm is also expected to unveil the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit next month. The company will take the wraps off the Xiaomi 13 lineup only after the launch of this chipset. So expect to know more about these “next generation” flagship handsets very soon.
