Infinix Zero Ultra with 200 megapixel camera now entering India, fans excited to get clearance from BIS

Earlier this month, popular budget smartphone brand Infinix unveiled its Infinix ZERO ULTRA handset in the global market. The device is powered by the Dimensity 920 processor, a mid-range 5G processor from chipset maker MediaTek. Also, other key features of Infinix ZERO ULTRA include 120Hz AMOLED display, 200-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 4,500mAh battery with 180W fast charging support. Ever since its launch in the global market, it was rumored that this premium grade Infinix handset will soon enter the Indian market as well. And now fueling that speculation, a well-known tipster has spotted the Infinix ZERO ULTRA Indian version on India's BIS certification site. Let's know about it in detail.



Infinix ZERO ULTRA gets BIS approval

Tipster Pars Googlani spotted the Infinix Zero Ultra phone in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. According to the listing, the model number of the Indian variant of the device is X6820. But as usual, apart from the model number, the BIS listing did not reveal any other information about the handset. But, since the device has already debuted in the global market, its specifications and features are no longer unknown. Let's take a look at them.

The Infinix Zero Ultra features a curved 6.8-inch AMOLED display, which offers full-HD+ resolution of 2,400 × 1,080 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate and 900 nits peak brightness. A 3D textured glass finish is present on the back of the device. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimension 920 octa-core processor built on a 6 nanometer process, which includes two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2 GHz. This chipset is coupled with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for graphics. The Zero Ultra offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. This Infinix phone runs Android 12 based XOS 12 custom skin.

Note that the camera system of Infinix ZERO ULTRA is the main attraction of the device. The phone has a triple camera setup on the rear panel, which houses a 200-megapixel primary camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel third sensor. And for selfies and video calling, a 32-megapixel front camera is present in the centered punch-hole on the front of the device.

In terms of power backup, the Infinix ZERO ULTRA uses a 4,500mAh battery, which supports Infinix's latest 180W Thunder Charge technology. The brand claims that the phone can be fully charged to 100% in just 12 minutes. Besides, the connectivity options of the Infinix phone include LTE, 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Note that the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage model of Infinix ZERO ULTRA has been launched in the US market at a price of $520 (about Rs. 42,800). However, it remains to be seen if the price of its Indian variant will change or if the device will be available in the same configuration.
