Been using WhatsApp for a long time? Private chats can be leaked if you are a little careless

There are very few people today who do not use WhatsApp. Every smartphone user now spends a large part of the day on this instant messaging medium; Chatting with friends or loved ones for hours. Since WhatsApp is an end-to-end encrypted social media platform, its messages, calls, status or media cannot be accessed by anyone other than the user. As a result, we can rest assured that no one is watching while chatting on it in person or chatting online. But actually this idea is not completely correct. No we are not talking about any loophole in WhatsApp's security system. In fact, your little carelessness while using WhatsApp can land you in trouble and lead to your data being leaked.

So it is always advisable to keep track of when you have opened and logged out of WhatsApp on any device. However, it is not easy to remember this matter in everyday busy life. In that case, you can know where your WhatsApp account login is by doing a small task.

Currently we use WhatsApp web along with the phone app, keeping our accounts active in both places. But many times we forget that the computer or laptop is logged in to the account. Due to WhatsApp's multi-device feature, users can login to the account on up to four devices simultaneously. But if you forget to log out of your account from computer or laptop, your chats can be leaked. Others can easily read your chats by accessing your device or account.

Here's how to know which device has WhatsApp account login

1. Open the WhatsApp app to find out which device your WhatsApp account is logged into.

2. Then tap on the three dot icon at the top right.

3. From here select the 'Linked Device' option. Here you can see where your WhatsApp account is logged in, and you can logout from any device if you want.
